The Escondido City Youth Council (ECYC), also known as the Escondido City Youth Commission, was founded in late 2022 and had its first meeting January 2023. ECYC is fully student-led, with support from the city of Escondido. The primary purpose of ECYC is to foster an environment where youth can participate in local government, and learn by doing.
